Head Coach of the Ghana National Under 20 team, Masud Dramani, is impressed with the quality of football played at the ongoing Nations cup in Gabon. The celebrated tactician credited the competitive nature of the 2017 Nations to the emergence of new forces in the continent with Uganda as a case study.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko trainer heaped kind words on the quality of Players representing their Nations at the 31st edition of the continent’s elite national gathering.
Masud Dramani singled out the Cranes of Uganda and the Eagles of Mali as two sides making a good case for themselves despite crushing out at the first hurdle. The revered trainer identified the muscular nature of the Eagles and ten tenacity of the Cranes in their three group games played.
” I am impressed with the quality of play at the ongoing Nations cup.
The physical level of the players at the Nation’s cup has impressed me the most.
” A typical example is Mali despite missing out on the last eight stages. They are trickery despite their physically strong and hugely built frame.
” Any of the last eight teams left in the tournament is capable of winning the trophy and that is good for Africa “, Masud Dramani told Sports Crusader.
The 2017 Nation’s Cup look set to go down in history as one of the keenly contested tournaments with the likes of Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, Tunisia and DR Congo set to battle it for continental bragging rights. Senegal host Cameroon in the first of four quarter final berths.
The Black Stars take on DR Congo for a place in the last four at the much dreaded Stade de Oyem.
