Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan is currently in Libreville undergoing an MRI scan in order to know the extent of his injury, Sportscrusader.com can confirm.
Gyan in Ghana’s 1-0 loss to Egypt in the final Group D game on Wednesday in Port-Gentil limped off the field.
“I felt a stretch in my adductor, so I don’t know the extent of the injury.”
“I’m in pain right now. On Thursday I will see the doctor. We will go for the MRI and then we can decide the extent of the injury,” Gyan said after the game.
Gyan has so far scored one goal in the ongoing competition
