Bechem United Coach Targets Black Stars Job

Coach of Becehm United, Manuel Zacharias, claims he is ready to step in as Black Stars coach if Avram Grant is axed.

He has thrown himself in the frame seeking to replace under fire Black Stars coach, Avram Grant.

Zacharias has gained recognition on the local scene after winning the FA Cup with Bechem United last season and, is poised to handle any of the national teams if given the opportunity.

He said: “I will be happy if I get the chance to coach the Black Stars, as a coach it will be good to have the opportunity to coach the national team,” he told Asempa FM.

“Bechem United is a small club but I helped them to win a trophy so I’m ready to coach the national team, even if it’s U20, I will take the job,” he told Asempa FM.

Meanwhile, Grant has been a subject of scorn by football fans in Ghana and his continued stay with the team is set to be reviewed by the Ghana Football Association.
