Former Wa All Stars defender and Ghana youth international, Bright Addae, has tipped the CAF champions league newbies to hammer their Libyan opponents when the two sides clash in Tamale over the weekends. The confident speaking Ascoli midfielder identified the Wa based side as the Dark horses in Ghana football considering their strange run to the domestic championship as the end of last season.
Bright Addae, who rose through the ranks of Wa All Stars before heading to Italy in 2010, ruthlessly singled out his former paymasters to dismantle the Libyan side on home soil to make the second leg a formality. He leaned on the solid nature of the Blues and their never ending hunger to succeed on the continent as the binding factor to steer them through.
“If Wa All Stars are representing Ghana in the CAF champions league is because they were the best in the past 12 months in Ghana.
“I am sure the Libyan side will be in big trouble when they play as guest to Wa All Stars.
“A convincing win in the first leg at the Tamale Stadium will make the second leg a mere formality and I am sure my Wa All Stars will make Ghana proud once again “, Bright Addae told sports crusader
Wa All Stars welcome Al Ahly Tripoli to the Tamale Sports Stadium on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in the first leg of the preliminary stages of the CAF flagship club tourney. The two sides next meet in seven days time for the return leg in a yet to be decided venue.
