CAF CL : Wa All Stars To Leave Ghana On Thursday For Tunis Trip

Ghanaian side , Wa All Stars FC, are billed to leave the shores of the country on Thursday ahead of their weekends clash with Ahly Tripoli. The Wa based side head to Tunisia with a 1-3 home deficit to overcome in the first leg.

The reigning Ghana Premier league champions are billed to embark on their North African trip by 5:00pm on Thursday, February 16, 2017. The sole campaigners in the continent’s elite flagship tourney from Ghana, will have to score three times without reply if they are to make the next stage of the competition.

Ali Muaid bagged a brace in the first leg staged in Tamale to put Ahly Tripoli in pole position for progress into the second round of qualifiers. A consolation goal from Richard Arthur remains the only positive for Wa All Stars in their CAF champions league audition thanks to their wasteful shooting in the first leg.

Ahly Tripoli opted for Tunisia as their adopted venue after CAF ruled out Libya due to security reasons.
