The continent’s highest governing football body, CAF, has once again snubbed Ghanaian officials for the upcoming Under Championship to be staged in Zambia. The federation announced a list of 28 officials for the game without any Ghanaian in the list.
The confirmed list from CAF has 12 centre referees and 14 assistant referees but none from Ghana. CAF earlier on left out Ghanaian referees for the 2017 Nation’s Cup hosted in Gabon and followed it up with similar feat in the build up to Zambia 2017.
The biannual football championship, slated for Lusaka and Ndola, will take place from February 26 through to March 12, 2017. The Black Satellites missed out on the continental Championship thanks to a 3-2 aggregate defeat at the hands of Senegal.
