Argentine International Carlos Tevez has joined the mass exodus to the Chinese Super League in a world record deal for the former Manchester United striker. The nomadic attacker sealed a bumper deal with Gustavo Poyet ‘s Shanghai Shenhua as the latest arrival in the CSL. The former West Ham United, Manchester United and Manchester City attacker will reportedly earn a whopping 615,000 pounds a week on weekly basis as the Chinese Super League continues its spending spree.
The 32 year old Boca Juniors Centre forward headed to the CSL less than two weeks after the arrival of fellow South American star, Oscar Dos Santos in what was mooted in the soccer fraternity. An initial 10 million pounds has been paid to Boca Juniors for the services of their star forward ahead of the record breaking deal. An expected 40 million US dollars will be earned by the former Selacao forward, who graced both halfs of Manchester and Turin with his predatory instincts in a stellar career.
