The future of Joseph E. Sarpong, head coach Ebusua Dwarfs is uncertain, Sportscrusader.com can reveal with news coming in that he has been asked to step aside as head of the technical team.
The Abontoa Abontoa boys results have not be impressive on their return to the Ghanaian top-flight as they are locked at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) table after 11 matches.
Sportscrusader.com was told earlier today that an emergency meeting between the Board and management of the club to discuss a potential overhaul of the technical team of the club which is headed by Coach Sarpong.
According to sources, the hierarchy of the club are afraid of a possible drop to the lower division.
President of the club and former chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Nana Sam Brew Butler, Board secretary and GFA Ex-Co member J.F. Mensah, together with CEO Nana Aidoo and Operations director John Ansah among others were in the crunch close door meeting, with the outcome being that he has been asked step aside from technical duties.
Sources close to the club revealed to Sportscrusader.com that Coach Sarpong’s two year contract has expired but he’s been working based on a mutual agreement with the club’s management.
It is unclear who will replace Sarpong but it is believed the club held talks with Inter Allies target, Jimmy Cobblah before he joined the Tema based side.
