The talismanic centre back for the Dansoman based side rallied his troops to console their manager with a win away to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Sellas Tetteh, who lost his wife in the build up the season opener might not be on the technical bench for the first game of the season but his inspirational skipper wants to honor the U20 world cup wining coach. The police officer turned officer turned footballer, tipped his side to get the better side of their Kumasi based rivals and dedicate the win to their newly installed new manager.
As a Police Corporal by profession, the lanky centre back mourned with his globally respected trainer upon hearing the demise the latter’s wife. The self composed defender urged his manager to stay strong and pray for his departed life long partner.
“As a team we have to win our first game of the season for him to erase the memories off his head.
“We have to win to erase the pain he is currently going through now since the demise of the wife is still fresh in his mind.
“I personally knew of the wife’s illness so I do remember her in my prayers “, Samuel Sarfo Maldini told sports crusader.
