Medeama SC shot stopper, Eric Ofori Antwi, has set his sight on scooping the best goal keeper of the year at end of the 2017 season.
The new arrival at the Tarkwa TNA park ambitiously place his gaze on the best custodian in the land at the end of the current season.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko custodian, made a name for himself whiles with the Red Army, pledged to replicate his feat when in Tarkwa.
The confident speaking shot stopper refused to set a clean sheet target at the end of the campaign, but hauled himself into the title race for the golden gloves awards.
“I don’t want to set a clean sheet target at the end of the season but I personally believe I will be in contention for the goal keeper of the year award.
” I am motivated internally to make a name in Tarkwa and that is one of my motivation factors going into the new season.
“Out first game was very good at the defensive level and I am sure we will build on it to get more clean sheets at the end of the competition “, Ofori told Sports Crusader.
Known as Alawa in the football circle , Eric Ofori rose through the ranks of Amidaus Professionals before heading to Kumasi for a successful career with the Red Army in Ghana football.
He then traded the 23 times league champions for Medeama SC, making his debut in a 1-0 home win over WAFA SC in the first match of this season.
