The Kurt E.S. Okraku-led MTN FA Cup committee has provided a bus to convey media personnel from Accra to cover the final match between Okwahu United and Bechem United at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The Committee, since taking over office, has rebranded the tournament [which had been off for over a decade] and, this gesture of transporting journalists to the match venue, has added extra spice to the knock-out tournament which has enjoyed extensive media coverage.
Speaking during the trophy tour in Cape Coast, Kurt Okraku said the transport arrangement is to help ease travelling stress and afford safe journey to and from Ghana’s first capital city.
Okwahu United reached the final of this season’s MTN FA Cup, beating Liberty Professionals 3-2 on penalties whilst their opponents for the September 4 clash, Bechem United, defeated lower tier side, WA Rockets 2-0 to book their place in the finals.
Okwawu are aiming to win their third FA Cup title after success in 1986 and 1994 whilst Bechem aims to upset the odds and win their first ever major title in football.
