Ghana Football Is On A Decline -Zdravko Lugarosic

Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Zdravko Lugarosic has compared the level of Ghana football to his first spell as a coach in Ghana, when he handled King Faisal and Ashantigold.

According to the Croat, Ghana football dominated in Africa and in the World, which replicated in the success of the Black Stars in the 2006 and 2010 world cup and the Black Satellites winning the U-20 World Cup in 2009.

Speaking to Sportscrusader.com, Zdravko described the current state of football, as one which is in stagnation.

“There is stagnation in the level of football in Ghana.”Zdravko stated.

“We used to dominate in Africa and world football, but it is not like it used to be.”

“When I was here as a coach for the first time, the U-20 won the world cup, because the standard of football was very high but it is not like that these days. We are now struggling”.

“I want to see the new generation rebuild the lost image.”
