GPL Resumes On Saturday

The Ghana Premier League (GPL) resumes this weekend with eight Match-Day 23 games set to be played on Saturday and Sunday nationwide.

Leaders Accra Hearts of Oak will trek to the Volta region to face the West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) who are seventh at their Red Bull Arena, Sogakope in the first of the weekend round of matches on Saturday.

The action will continue on Sunday with seven games set to be played across the nation. Second placed Aduana Stars will be away to relegation threatened Sekondi Hasaacas at the Sekondi Stadium at Essipong.

Wa All Stars who are third and have a game in hand against Medeama SC to be played tomorrow (Wednesday, August 3, 2016), will welcome Bechem United to the Wa Stadium.

Fourth placed Dreams FC will visit the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for the first time this season to play Kumasi Asante Kotoko who are a place below them on the table.

Tarkwa based Medeama SC who are sixth, will trek to the Port City of Tema to Face an Inter Allies side that is heavily involved in the relegation struggle.

Berekum Chelsea are 10th on the ladder, and they will welcome eighth placed Liberty Professionals to the Golden City Park, Berekum.

Ninth placed Techiman City plays a resurgent Ebusua Dwarfs side who are out of the relegation zone and in 11th position at the Ohene Ameyaw Park, Techiman.

Reigning champions, AshantiGold SC are 12th on the ladder and, they will host bottom side New Edubiase United at the Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi.
