The match week 8 of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League produced qualify football cum results.

The top-liner of the midweek fixtures was arguably in Dawu when Dreams FC hosted Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Dreams FC v Kotoko

Prior to the game, Dreams had not lost at the venue and conceded only one goal (against Wa All Stars). Kotoko on the other hand had not scored an away goal, and that set the tone for an intriguing tie.

Elsewhere, Abednego Tetteh scored twice as Bechem United ended Wa All Stars blistering run in the league. Kofi Yeboah grabbed a consolation, but it was not enough to keep their pace.

In the Ashanti region, the Adansi derby tooj centre stage when New Edubiase hosted Ashanti Gold at the Obuasi Len stadium.

Francis Adjei and Anthony Yernful scored to ease the pressure on Bashir Hayford as they held on to beat the home side 2-1.

Accra Hearts Oak downward spiral continued as they were held by West Africa Football Academy at the Accra sports stadium.

Charles Boateng opened the floodgates, but Cosmos Dauda ensured they leave the stadium with a point to close the gap on early pace setters Wa All Stars to only 2 points.

In the Brong Ahafo region, Yahaya Mohammed single handedly annihilated Sekondi Hasaacas.  The former Kotoko versatile player scored thrice as Aduana Stars won 4-0 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Bright Adjei scored the other as they moved up the league ladder to 9th.

In the seven league centers, 20 goals were scored by 16 different players.
