Sekondi Hasaacas striker, Eric Bekoe claim they played against the match day referee, Maxwell Hanson and not Kotoko.
Sekondi Hasaacas suffered their third defeat of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League season against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Friday night.
And Eric Bekoe, who reckoned he played very well tonight, says the referee was unfair to them.
“My performance was the best. I think we were rather playing against the referee and not the team; and I was so much surprised at the coach,” the former golden boot winner of the GPL told Super Sport.
Eric Bekoe also alleged that Kotoko head coach David Duncan called him and insulted for reason be knows nothing about.
“As a respected coach, that we all know and he behaved as he did on the touchline was not the best.
“To call me and insult me doesn’t look professional. What he did was uncalled for; we are all playing professional football and you have to know how to talk to players. Whether you’re a coach or not. The way he did wasn’t fair,” h noted.
Eric Bekoe apologized to Kotoko fans for reacting angrily on the pitch.
