Wa All Stars goal keeper Rashid Seidu, is inspired by his predecessor, Richard Ofori after the latter’s departure from the club. The young goal keeper inked a professional deal with the Ghanaian champions for the start of the 2017 season.
Rashid Siedu, who has been tipped across the nation for his extreme agility and reflexes between the sticks, revealed drawing inspiration from the man he is destined to replace. The young custodian revealed his admiration for Richard Ofori , citing the Black Stars shot stopper’s work ethics as his focal point.
“I think many goal keepers will want to be like Richard Ofori not just because of his achievements but his work ethics.
“I am a big fan of Ofori and tries to model my game around him.
“It’s unfortunate I will not get the chance to train and play with him in same club”, Rashid Seidu said.
The talented goalie made his competitive debut for Wa All Stars in a 1-0 win over Bechem United Nations has since taken over the reigns between the sticks in the absence of Richard Ofori, who look destined for South Africa. Richard Ofori enjoyed a glamorous career with Wa All Stars that saw his rose through the ranks of the various national teams into the Black Stars with a vintage performance for Ghana in the third and fourth place game at the just ended AFCON staged in Gabon.
